Betty L. Newman

Betty Lou Newman, 83, passed away Monday, December 2, 2013 at Bartow Regional Medical Center of respiratory failure. Born July 9, 1930 in Terre Haute, IN, Mrs. Newman was a lifelong resident of Bartow. She attended the Bartow Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Newman is preceded in death by her son: Rudolph Doug Newman, Jr. & daughter: Debbie Ray. She is survived by three daughters: Dorothy "Ieleen" Richards; Vikki O'Neal & Roberta " Robbie" Newman, all of Bartow; a sister: Ruth Long (Denver) Bartow; 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandhildren & 5 great great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 6, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Interment will be held at Bartow Wildwood Cemetery.
