Betty Mac Crum

Bartow - Elizabeth "Betty Mac" Crum, 87, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014 at her residence in Bartow of cancer. Born January 10, 1927 in Birmingham, AL, Mrs. Crum was a resident of Bartow for Since 1949, moving from Auburn, AL. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the Bartow First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Crum was very active in the Bartow Hospital auxiliary for many years; she was a substitute high school teacher for several years; She was active in her husband's veterinary clinic practice for many years, Mrs. Crum is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. J.B. "Bill" Crum and her son Gregory Crum. She is survived by two sons: Stephen Crum (Monica) of Arlington, VA and John Crum (Xuan) of Bartow; daughter: Sharon Peterson (Bruce) of Columbus, OH; 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Special thanks to her care givers: Melinda Fleming and Nikki Browder & the staff of Good Shepherd Hospice. Family will receive friends Monday, March 31, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow.
