Betty J. Hazen

Lakeland - Betty J. Hazen, age 85, passed away on October 24, 2024, at her residence in Lakeland. She was born on February 6, 1939, in Plant City, FL. She was the well-loved Owner of Betty's Beauty Salon. She was a faithful member of Mt. Enon Primitive Baptist Church for over 70 years. She enjoyed cooking, yard work and helping at her church. She was preceded in death by her husband George H. Hazen, brothers Junior Williams & Ralph Williams and sister Myrtle Welch. She is survived by her loving family which includes her daughters Sheila Rewis of Lakeland & Michelle Bass (John) of Auburndale, grandson Erik Lindgren (Sarah) , granddaughter Caylien Lindgren and 6 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Monday, October 28, 2024, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Mt. Enon Primitive Baptist Church, Funeral service will be held Monday, October 28, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Mt. Enon Primitive Baptist Church. Interment will be held at Mt. Enon Memorial Cemetery, Plant City. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cornerstone Hospice.
