Betty Jane Edmund

Bartow - Betty Jane Edmund, age 76, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2026. She was born July 21, 1949 in Bessemer, AL to Ray & Mary Morrison. Betty retired from the Office of the Public Defender. She was a member of Christian Home Free Will Baptist Church in Bartow. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Billy Morrison and brother Edgar Morrison. A woman of faith with an infectious smile and a heart full of love, she was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had a way of making everyone feel special with her cheerful “hey babe” and her genuine kindness. Her sweet spirit will be deeply missed. She was known as “Honey” to her grandchildren, great grandchildren and all who loved her.

Betty is survived by her son Rick Lee of Bartow, daughter Pagan Taylor & husband Mark of Fort Meade, grandchildren Angelica Woodruff, Kayla (Will) Grubbs and Victoria (Hunter) Davis and Jaxon Lee. Great Grand Children TC Woodruff, Lucian Grubbs, Conner Grubbs, Charlotte Grubbs and Wyatt Grubbs, Taylor Davis, Cooper Davis and Fletcher Davis and her sister Sidney King & husband Lanny King and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Thursday, July 23, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow, FL. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow, FL.
