Betty B. Sharp

Bartow- Betty B. Sharp, age 89, passed away Monday, January, 24, 2022 in Bartow. Born February 18, 1932 in Knoxville, TN, she was the daughter of the late William John McSwain and Artie (Gass) McSwain. Mrs. Sharp was a homemaker and also worked as a Food Service Representative for the Polk County School Board for several years. Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. Sharp and seven siblings. She is survived her son, Mark T. Sharp (Diane) of Bartow, her grandchildren: Cheyenne Schaffer (Thomas) of Titusville, Cody Sharp of Bartow and Cassidy Sharp of Bartow, she also leaves behind her siblings: Faye Herman (Bill) of Orlando, Billy McSwain (Peggy) of Strawberry Plains, TN, Yvonne Heath of Knoxville, TN, and her great grandchildren: Landon and Waylon. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 30th from 2pm to 4pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Services will follow in Knoxville, TN, care of Bridges Funeral Home. Mrs. Sharp will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake City, TN, next to her husband Donald Sharp.
