Beth Ann Schroder Meade

Bartow. Beth Ann Schroder Meade, 88, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at her residence in Bartow. Born July 25, 1922 in Cincinnati, OH, Mrs. Meade had been a resident of Bartow since 1995, having moved from Connecticut. Mrs. Meade had been a secretary at the University of Connecticut. She had attended Texas State University for Women. She had been active in the Unitarian Universalist Church, the Bartow Garden Club, the Conservation Commission in Mansfield, CT, the League of Women Voters, the Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts of America, and the World Federalists. She is survived by husband Arland Meade, brother James Schroder and his wife Patricia of Bartow, three children Thomas Meade of Bartow, Charles Meade and his wife Brigid of Portsmouth, N.H., daughter Melody Meade and her husband Peter Goldstein of Bethesda, Md., and grandchildren Jason and Natalia Goldstein of Bethesda.
