Bessie Juanita Hiers, 81, of Lake City, FL died Thursday, December 30, 2010, at Still Waters West in Lake City, FL. Bessie was born December 1, 1929 in Moultrie, GA. She was a Hair Dresser at the House of Beauty in Bartow. She was preceded in death by her husband George W. Hiers, Sr. and son George W. Hiers, Jr. She is survived by three children; two daughters, Connie Graham & husband Bill of Mt. Gilead, NC; Cherry Matz & husband Danny of Auburndale; and one son Bobby Lee Sr & wife Annie Hiers, of Lake City. Fifteen grandchildren Thirty-six great-grandchildren One great-great-grandchild Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow, FL. The viewing and services will be held on Sunday, January 02, 2011. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM Sunday with the funeral to follow at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home at 3:00 PM.
