Bessidene E. Knauss

Bessidene E. Knauss 74 of Lakeland passed away May 10, 2010 from cancer. A native of Italy Valley, NY she moved to Lakeland from Pensacola 18 years ago. As a ministers wife she traveled for 22 years in Evangelism with her husband Dr. Norman Knauss of the Pine Grove Baptist Church in Mulberry. Bessidene was a accomplished musician and often served as Choir Director. She was a music teacher in Iowa and also a school teacher at The Sonrise Christian School in Lakeland for 10 years. She was preceded in death by a daughter Shelley Knauss in 2001 and is survived by her husband of 56 years Dr. Norman Knauss of Lakeland; two daughters Susan Zickermann and Sheryl Vass both of Lakeland; 3 granddaughters Amy, Jenny and Alesha Zickermann all of Lakeland; 3 grandsons Cody Vass of Lakeland, Jeremy and Joshua Vass of North West Florida. Also a whole host of friends who honored and respected her.
