Berniece L. Whitt

Berniece L. Whitt, of Fort Meade, Florida and Fairborn, passed away Wednesday August 7, 2013 in Florida. She was born on May 25, 1949 in Greenup, KY, the daughter of the late Orville and Vernice (Harper) Yates. Bernice is preceded in death by a son, Shawn Johnson; three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her husband, Tom; daughter, Lisa Whitt; step-son, Tommy Whitt, Jr.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a half-sister and four half-brothers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday August 13, 2013 from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, OH. Graveside service to follow in the Byron Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association.
