Bernard "Ben" Reckeweg

Ben Reckeweg, 90, died Monday, February 28, 2011, at his residence of heart failure. Born March 2, 1920 in Philadelphia, PA Mr. Reckeweg was a lifelong resident of Bartow. He operated Reckeweg Plumbling Co. for many years. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of WW II. He was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church; the Optimist Club & the American Legion Post 3, Bartow. He is survived by his wife of 48 years: Mary Reckeweg; four daughters: Janet & husband Mario Monte of Las Vegas, NV; Cynthia & husband Jason West of Bartow; Kathleen Connors of Bartow & Reese Glover of St. Petersburg; son: Archie & wife Priscilla Connors of Lakeland; brother: William Reckeweg of Philadelphia; 5 grandchildren & 8 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Friday, March 4, 2011, 10:30 - 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 500 W Stuart, Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am at the Church.
