Barron Lee Scott

Bartow - Barron Lee Scott, passed away Monday August 31, 2026, at Breezy Hills Rehabilitation & Care Center, Lakeland, FL. Barron was born November 1, 1955, in Arcadia, FL. He graduated from Bartow Senior High School in 1974. After high school Barron went to work for the FL Dept. of Transportation and continued his career working in the private sector for multiple Construction, Engineering, and Inspection firms for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his father Frank M. Scott, mother Jeanne Duncan Scott, sister Deborah Ann Scott Betz, nephew, Jimi Lee Blackshear and many other family members. Barron is survived by daughter Heather Marie Scott, Gabriel Alexander “Alex” Barnhart grandson both of Bartow and his son Frank Luis Scott of Lakeland. He is also survived by Brother George “Hugh” Scott (Polly) of Bartow and two sisters Jeanne Scott Sherrard (Tony) and Vay Scott Zagardo (Larry) both of Lakeland, as well as nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Thursday September 17, 2026, from 10AM to 11AM at United Community Church, 2301 Noralyn Mine Road Bartow, FL with the service immediately following at 11AM. There will be a private family graveside at a later date and time. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to One More Child at P.O. Box 8190, Lakeland, FL 33802.
