Barney H. Herndon

Barney Herndon, 65, beloved son, father, brother and grandfather, passed away August 2. 2010 in San Jose, CA after a long illness. Barney was born June 7, 1945 to Maggie & Leon Herndon in Bartow, FL. He lived the last years of his life in San Jose California. During his illness, he was cared for by his brother and sister-in-law, Clarence & Mollie Herndon. Barney worked for Kennecott Copper Mine In Magna, Utah for 33 yrs. He loved spending time with his children & grandchildren. He enjoyed running, riding horses & fishing. He is preceded in death by his father: Leon Herndon & brother Bobby Herndon. He is survived by his mother: Maggie Sundy; three daughters: Marie Locke, Katrina White & husband Billy; Becky Reyes & husband Jeremy; 8 grandchildren: Ryan, Wayne, Sean, Matthew, J.T., Will, Mikaili & Cailyn; 2 great grandchildren: Kaydence & Jesse Wayne; 2 brothers: Clarence Herndon & wife Mollie; Eddie Herndon & wife Linda. Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 28, 2010, at 11:00 am at Lakeland Memorial Gardens Cemetery , Lakeland.
