Barbara J. Yost

Barbara J. Yost, age 86, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2011 in St. Petersburg, FL, where she had lived most of her life. Barbara was born on January 21, 1925 in Massillon, Ohio. After graduating from St. Petersburg High School in 1943, she went to college in Ohio where she received her nursing degree. She moved back to Florida to become a private practice nurse for 40 years before retiring. Barbara spent most of her life looking after people and taking care of the elderly in her neighborhood. She also enjoyed sailing, playing golf, and traveling the world. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents William K. and Anna Silk Yost, her brother William K. "Bill" Yost of Massillon, OH and a brother John C. Yost of Bartow, FL. She is survived by a niece Ann Yost, and nephews; Steve Yost of Massillon, Donald C. Yost and wife Dixie of Bartow, and John Robert "Bobby" Yost of Lakeland. She also leaves behind many great and great great nieces and nephews.
