Barbara Scott Sewell

Barbara Scott Sewell 80 of Mulberry passed away July 23, 2009 from Renal Failure at the Good Shepherd Hospice Forsythe House in Auburndale. A native of Scottland, IL she moved to the Bartow area 40 years ago from Bradenton. Barbara worked as a School Teacher and Guidance Councelor in Manatee County before retiring from the Polk County School System with 20 years of service as a School Psychologist. She was of the Episcopal Faith. She was preceded in death by her son Russell Sewell and is survived by her daughter Jean Haake and husband Henry of Mulberry; 3 grandchildren Kathy Cubbage and husband Dennis of Mulberry; Rebecca Haake of Doral, FL and Scott Haake and wife Amber of Chapel Hill, NC; 3 great grandchildren Nate, Ethan and Andrew. A visitation will be held Saturday July 25, 2009 from 2-3pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow and services will begin at 3pm. The interment will follow in Bartow Wildwood Cemetery.
