Barbara Bunn Adkison

Barbara Bunn Adkison, age 60, passed away from complications of surgery Saturday, November 29, 2014 in Lakeland. Born June 9, 1954 in Bartow, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Whitten) Bunn and Harold V. Bunn. Barbara was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Bartow where she had formerly taught Sunday School. Mrs. Adkison was a Branch Manager for Sun Trust Bank and recently retired after many years of service. She also was the president of the Zonta Club of Bartow and a former member of the Bartow Junior Service League. Barbara is survived by a loving family that includes her husband of 42 years David J. Adkison, her daughter: Olivia A. Hazell and husband Marc, two grandchildren: Devin and Madilyn Hazell all of Bartow, and her brother Robert Michael Bunn of Kissimmee. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 10am to 11am at the First Baptist Church of Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at the church.
