Avon C. Sellers

Avon C. Sellers, Sr, age 63, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Bartow Regional Medical Center of heart failure. Born September 8, 1949 in Cairo, GA, Mr. Sellers was a longtime resident of Bartow, moving from Georgia. He was a heavy equipment operator for many years. He was a US Army Veteran. He is preceded in death by his father Avon Carter Sellers & brother Robert Sellers. Mr. Sellers is survived by his daughter: Amanda Leatherwood of Auburndale; son: Avon Sellers, Jr. of Bartow; mother: Mabel Sellers, Bartow; brother: Lamar Sellers, Homeland; three sisters: Ellner Ford, Winter Haven, Pam Tilley, Henderson, NC & Teresa Devereux, Bartow, three grandchildren & his companion: Mary Rufner, Bartow. Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 1:30 PM at Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church, 1125 Hwy 17 South, Bartow. Interment will be held at a later date.
