Lakeland -Artimes Locklear, age 84, passed away January 20, 2023, at Bartow Regional Medical Center in Bartow. He was born on December 10, 1938, in Lumberton, NC. He was a Framer in the construction industry. He enjoyed fishing and watching wrestling. He was preceded in death by Lynwood Locklear, Jack Locklear, Wayne Locklear, Junior Locklear and Ann Sowell. He is survived by a loving family that includes his sons Chris Locklear, Joe Locklear & Hubert Locklear, brothers Glen Locklear, Kermit Locklear, Kenneth Locklear, Shelton Locklear, Freddie Locklear & H.L. Locklear, sister Carlane Pridgen, grandchildren Ashton Locklear & Brailey Locklear, great grandchild Gabriel Locklear and many nieces & nephews. Family will receive friends Friday, January 27, 2023, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral service will be held Friday, January 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Oak Hill Burial Park, Lakeland.
