Arthur J. Rhoden

Mr. Arthur J. Rhoden, age 81, passed away from respiratory failure Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Mr. Rhoden was born October 20, 1928 in Lake Wales. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII and Korea. After his service he worked as a Letter Carrier for the U.S. Post Office. Mr. Rhoden is preceded in death by his wife Carrie Nell Rhoden, son Arthur Rhoden, II, and daughter Marilyn Perez. He is survived by a daughter Cheryl Penny of Melbourne, sister Lena Tucker of Lakeland, brother Cecil Rhoden of Winter Haven, ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home 650 East Main Street in Bartow where the family will receive friends Monday June 28th for 6pm to 8pm. Services will follow Tuesday, June 29th at 10:00am at the funeral home chapel.
