Arthur B. Losh

Arthur B. Losh, age 94, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015 in Winter Haven. Born February 8, 1921 in Webster County, WV, he was the son of the late Odie A. and Mary (Sefton) Losh. Mr. Losh was U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Arthur participated in the invasion of Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. He retired with over 30 years of service with Swift and Company as a welder. Mr. Losh also attended the First Christian Church of Bartow and was a member of the V.F.W. Post #2405 of Bartow. Along with his parents and his siblings, Mr. Losh is preceded in death by his wife Thera G. Losh in 2005. He is survived by his children: Bill Losh (Jennifer K Heller) of Babson Park, Barbara Combs (Dick) of Bartow, his granddaughter Robbi Sumner (Jeff) of Okeechobee, and great granddaughter Shelby Sumner. A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 11:00am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, 400 South Oak Ave. Bartow, FL 33830.
