Arlen Wayne Duke

Ashville, NC- Wayne Duke age 76 passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020 in Ashville, NC. Born February 9, 1944 in Bartow, FL, he was the son of the late Percy T. Duke, Sr. and Molly (Hamilton) Duke. Wayne was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Air Force. Mr. Duke retired as a Supervisor from Polk County after many years of service. He attended Christian Heritage Baptist Church in Winter Haven. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Percy T. Duke Jr.. Mr Duke is survived by his two daughters: Theresa D. Banks (Jim) of Cumming, GA and Alisia Sprague (Eddie) of Charlotte, NC. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Tiffani Allen (Patrick), Krissi Banks, Nikki Rogers (Zach), Ashley Sprague, Anna Sprague and his great grandchildren: Liliana Allen, Micah Rogers and Elijah Rogers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 24th from 10am to 11 am at Christian Heritage Baptist Church, 150 Spirit Lake Road in Winter Haven. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at the church. Interment will be in Gandy Cemetery in Connersville. Out of courtesy and caution, mask will be required at all gatherings.
