Antonio Mejia Bustos, Sr.

Antonio Mejia Bustos, Sr., age 79, died Mon. June 23, 2008 from heart failure. Mr. Bustos was born on July 16, 1928 in Eagle Pass, TX and had been an area resident for many years. Mr. Bustos was catholic and also an avid fisherman and sportsman. He is preceded in death by his wife Olivia Flores Bustos, son Roberto Bustos, three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by a loving family that includes three daughters; Rita Bustos-Collins, Elisabel Bustos Longoria, and Olga Lydia Norton all of Lakeland, two sons; Edward Rogelio Bustos of Immokalee, Antonio Mejia Bustos, Jr. of Highland City, and three sisters; Rosa Gutierrez of Immokalee, Maria Garza of Spur, TX and Teresa Soliz also of Immokalee. He also leaves behind sixteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thurs. June 26th from 6 PM to 8 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home 650 East Main Street in Bartow. Services for Mr. Bustos will follow Fri. June 27th at 9:00 AM at St. Thomas Catholic Church 2180 Kissingen Ave. South in Bartow.
