Anthony P. Maskolunas, Sr.

Anthony P. Maskolunas, Sr. age 69, passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 in Bartow. Born September 4, 1946 in Bartow, he was preceded in death by his parents, Charles B. and Virginia (Birge) Maskolunas and his brother, Chuck Maskolunas. Tony was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War. He worked for over 30 years for the Polk County Traffic Engineering Division. He retired as a Traffic Sign Supervisor. Mr. Maskolunas was Catholic and a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife Shirley Maskolunas , his children: Anthony P. Maskolunas, Jr. , Angela Maskolunas, his step daughter Debbie Browder, his siblings: Frank Maskolunas, Mike Maskolunas and Cathy Parker. He also leaves behind three grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 30th from 6pm to 8pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Inurnment in Florida National Cemetery will be scheduled at a later date.
