Annie R. Butler, age 73, passed away from cancer Tuesday , November 20, 2012 at home in Bartow. Born on November 16, 1939 in Soperton, GA, she was the daughter of the late A.D. and Lottie Whitaker. Mrs. Butler had worked for the City of Bartow and Sign Creations as a cashier. She is survived by a loving family that includes her husband, Wendell M. Butler, five children; Mitzi A. McGifford of Phoenix, AZ, Janet M. Glover of Jacksonville, Charles Lee Troutt, of Bartow, Timothy A. Troutt of Bartow, Ronnie Butler of Bartow, eight siblings; Betty Haggins of Lakeland, Doshie Brill of Mountain Grove, MO, Katie Tucker of Hartville, MO, Judy Carroll of Lakeland, Allen J. Whitaker, Kermit Whitaker, Arnold Whitaker all of Bartow, and Roger Whitaker of Lakeland. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren and six great grandchild.
