Anne Stamey

Lakeland - Anne Stamey, 90, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was born March 29, 1928 in Chattanooga, TN. She was a School Teacher for 27 years with the Polk County School Board. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bartow, where she taught adult ladies bible study and also sang in the choir. Anne volunteered for 9 years at Bartow Regional Medical Center, serving as president for 2 years and was named volunteer of the year 3 times. She was preceded in death by her parents; Ed & Vera Campbell, husband; Henry Stamey, sister; Chris Lewis and three brothers; Jack, Bill and Bruce Campbell. She is survived by two daughters; Jane Adkins (Royce) of Lakeland and Ruth Ann Aulds of TN, son; Dan Stamey (Pam) of Valrico.  Grandchildren; Amanda Seger (Marc), Kim Adkins, Bethany, Alex and Barry Stamey and four great grandchildren; Conner, Emma, Lilly and Claire Seger. Family will receive friends Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 5 to 7 pm at First Baptist Church of Bartow. Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Bartow. Interment will be held at Oak Hill Burial Park in Lakeland, FL.  Memorials may be made to Lottie Moon Christmas offering at First Baptist Church.
