Amy Louise Crawford, age 31, passed away Wednesday May 28, 2008 after a one year battle with cancer. Born May 16, 1977 in Jacksonville, Amy had moved to Bartow two and a half years ago from Tallahassee where she had worked as a Public Defender. Amy was more recently employed by the State Attorney's Office in Bartow as a State Prosecutor. Amy was a 1995 graduate of Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville, a 1999 graduate from the University of North Florida with a degree in English, and a 2002 graduate from Florida Coastal School of Law. She was a member of the Florida Bar Association and also a member of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church of Bartow. Amy is survived by a loving family that includes her husband, Drew Crawford of Bartow, her parents Stephen and Sharon Willett of Orange Park, her brother Dr. Marcus Willett and wife Amy, nephews Colin and Tyson Willett all Tallahassee, her grandmother Catherine Willett of Lexington, KY. She also leaves behind her mother and father-in-law Hugh and Jan Crawford of Bartow, a brother-in-law Chip Crawford of Cincinnati, OH, and numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home 650 East Main Street in Bartow where the family will receive friends Friday May 30, 2008 from 5 PM to 8 PM. Funeral services will follow Saturday May 31, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church 205 East Stanford Street in Bartow.
