Amos Earl Stanley

Amos Earl Stanley, 75, passed away suddenly Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Bartow Regional Medical Center. Born April 9, 1943 in Shawneetown, IL, to Amos P. and Mary Earnest Stanley. Earl was a resident of Fort Meade for 26 years , moving from Illinois, He was a Project Superintendent with Minserco for many years. He was a graduate of Shawneetown Community High School, and a member of the Moose Lodge. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He is survived by his wife: Sharon Bowers Stanley, Fort Meade; three sons: Stewart Stanley (DeeDee), El Dorado , IL; Shannon Stanley (Angela), Harrisburg, IL & Shawn Stanley (Heather), Macedonia, IL, two step daughters: Kay Howell (Cliff), Sebring, FL & Lisa Bowers, Lakeland, FL. a brother: Raymond Stanley, Saluda, VA, & twin sister: Merle Crane of El Dorado, IL, 11 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 5:00 - 6:00 P.M. at McLean Funeral Home, Fort Meade. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
