Amanda Patterson

Bartow- Amanda M. Patterson, 83, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2007, at the Bartow Center of respiratory failure. A native of Columbus, Ga, Mrs. Patterson grew up on a farm near Baxley, Ga, moving to Bartow in 1982. She was a telephone operator, seamstress and caregiver for many years. She attended Bartow First Baptist Church. She is survived by her sister: Lucille P. Collins of Bartow; nephews: John Collins of Jacksonville and Edward Patterson of Winnsboro, S.C; nieces: Jolene Howell of Babson Park; Lucy Collins of Bartow; Frances Holston of Jackson, Ga; and Erie Dodd of Round O, S.C.. Family will receive friends Monday, June 11, from 10-11 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St, Bartow. Services will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
