Alverda V. Goodman

Mrs. Alverda V. Goodman, age 96, passed away Friday April 25, 2008 at home in Eagle Lake, FL. Born March 8, 1912 in Johnstown, PA, Alverda was the daughter of the late Calvin E. and Nellie (Siverling) Barringer. Mrs. Goodman was a homemaker. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Ralph "Red" Goodman, and her granddaughter, Roxann Oaks. She is survived a loving family that includes three sons; Richard Goodman and wife Sandra (Hollsopple) of Bedford, PA, Ralph Goodman and wife Denise (Laskosky) oh Johnstown, PA, four daughters; Eleanor Thomas of Johnstown, Naomi Muscardelli of Largo, FL, Iva Hays of Eagle Lake, FL and Joan Robinson and husband Russell of Merritt Island, FL. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and twelve great great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Monday April 28, 2008 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary Inc. in Johnstown, PA. Services will follow Tuesday April 29, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church in Johnstown.
