Alicia De Leon Almazan

Alicia De Leon Almazan, age 86, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 in Lakeland. Born September 19, 1930 in Cienfuegos, Cuba, she was the daughter of the late Florencio De Leon and Gloria Sanchez. Alicia was the owner and operator of Alicia's Boutique in Bartow and was a member of Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Bartow. Mrs. Almazan was a professional seamstress and enjoyed artistic painting. Alicia is survived by her husband of 64 years, Pedro P. Almazan of Bartow, her children: Pete Almazan (Susan) of Lakeland, Marta A. Howell (Carl) of Bartow, her sisters: Inez De Leon of Bartow, Rafaela De Leon, Dinorah De Leon and Clara E. De Leon of Miami and four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 26th from 6pm to 8pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 27th at 11:00am at the First Assembly of God of Bartow.
