Alice Kay Prestin

Alice Kay Prestin, age 79, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Palm Garden in Winter Haven, FL. She was born February 17, 1946 in Bartow, FL to Fred & Wilma Prestin. Alice graduated from Bartow Summerlin Institute class of 1964. After graduation Alice served her Country in the United States Air Force. She was a Clerk for the US Postal Service in several locations. Alice also worked for a number of different Nurseries in Polk County and she worked with the USDA Mosquito research program. She was a Honorary Lifetime Member of the Florida Frontiersmen, Inc, she really enjoyed the friendly knife and hawk competition. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Penny Dean. Alice is survived by her sister Candy Grubbs & husband Clarence of Bartow, two nephews Frank Grubbs & wife Candi and Carl Grubbs & wife Nicole. Family will receive friends Monday, April 14, 2025 from 5:00 pm to7:00 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow, FL. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Florida Frontiersmen, Inc.
