Albert Steve Davis

Albert "Stevie" Davis of Bartow, age 61, died from respiratory failure Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Born July 10, 1949 in Donalsonville, GA, he was the son of the late Albert Ray Davis and Hazel Laverne Thompson. Mr. Davis was a Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War, receiving the National Defense and Vietnamese Service Medals. He was a professional electrician, working for Crown Electric in Bartow and Jordan Electric in Columbus, GA. Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by his brothers; Stanley Davis, Wayne Davis, and longtime companion Esther Kersey. He is survived by four children; Angela Cook (Chris), Steve Davis, Jr. (Randi) all of Columbus, GA, Hank Davis of Bartow, Richard Marcum of Macon, GA, five grandchildren; Chris, Cameron, Kallie, Carter, and Carlie, his brother Shane L. Danford, and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 18th at 10:00am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Interment, with military honors, will follow at 2:00pm at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
